unconventional
It appears someone has patented the idea of using flechette rounds to clear mine fields.
Now thats uncoventional thinking. Namely, the Hague Convention, and the Geneva Convetions, which according to some, outlaw the use of flechettes. Though, it could be argue that that only applies when used against human targets.
Struck me as somewhat ironic.
paper v8
A moving model of a V8 engine made from paper. I’m not exactly a papercraft kind of guy, but thats pretty rad.
show
Friday night, played a show at 305 South in Durham. Lineup was me, badger, and Anthony Stanton. I used a new setup for the show, using two midi controller keyboards, the powerbook, Ableton Live as a host, and two Reaktor softsynth modules. Each keyboard went to one soft synth, and out to a looper.
Setup seemed to work okay. The only problem seemed to be just too many options. For the most part, I just tweaked the settings that I had already setup to be controlled from the keyboard.
Seemed to go okay. No technical issues, and I think it sounded pretty good.
subscape show + adrian
Reminder: I will be joining Subscape Annex tonight. See the show listing for more details.

wake county booksale
Wake County Public Library Booksale
The Wake County Library Booksale starts tomorrow. Whenever I go, it always fascinates me just how many copies of
“Futureshock” the library seems to have. It seems to be about every 20th book on the tables.
Maybe I’ll wait till the last day, and then buy up a couple boxes full of “Futureshock”. And then sneak them back
into the library during the year.
auto db
I want a IMDB style database about cars/motorcycles. If one doesn’t exist, someone
should build one.
