I took off Thursday and Friday from work for no particular reason. Spent most
of the time doing as little as possible. Thursday, I practiced with badger
and Anthony for the Subscape Annex show on Sunday.

I seem to have had a very “goth/industrial” weekend. After practice thurdays
went to the local goth night. Then went to Zombie Room
Saturday. Then of course, the Subscape Annex
show on Sunday. And Friday headed over to Temple Ball to see the Mark Mothersbaugh
exhibit. But aside from that, a pretty uneventful weekend.

I’ll be playing this Sunday with Subscape Annex.

To quote badgers post:

The ambient/industrial improvisational looping trio Subscape Annex plays this Sunday night, 13 March 2005, as part of the Dirge Factory night at the Underground (formerly the Old Bar of Charlie Goodnight’s), in Raleigh NC. (For this performance, Rob will not be joining Anthony and myself. aklikins of Phasmatodea will join us for the evening.)

Our showtime is 10:30 to 11:30, and the cover is $2. directions

Should be fun. Er, I mean, gloomy and full of smoldering rage.

Software I would like to write

Sometimes, when I’m not loathing all forms of solid state computing devices, I think about software projects I would like to write. For the most part, these are beyond my limited skill set, and well beyond my patience level, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking about it.

– A cross platform audio synth and effect host designed for live performance useage.
– An intelligent proxy and bookmark based web search engine.
– A drawing/painting program that allows for “wraparound” painting for creating tessalations and tiling textures.
– A audio loop editor designed for creation, not editing.
– A web forum syndication format, so aggregators/readers could provide a sane interface to the myriad varity of web forums.

How about youself? What software would you like to write? I supposed there is a distinction between what you would like to write and what you would like to burst into exsistence from the ether. I’m not sure what that is. So don’t sweat it.
