I’ve been fiddling with packaging some windows VST plugins
(a few are actually GPL and distributable…) for running
under wine/vstserver under linux.
But, there doesn’t appear to be any concept of a standardized
way to package windows apps for use with wine. All the drive
definations seem to be up for the user to choose. It seems
difficult to say, copy a dll to /usr/lib/vsts/foobar.dll and
have it do the right thing.
But then, I’m fairly wine-ignorant (the windows api implementation,
and the beverage as well). Anyone familar with packaging up
win apps for wine?
Apparently, the Air Force has a Engine Museum. Thats cool.
Appropriately timed, since as I tried to sleep last night, and
the just a bit too much sudafed kept me awake, I starting
thinking about engine designs, and how far you could push
the boundaries. Aka, say, a 1.5 liter inline twelve (not
that far from mid 80’s Formula 1 engines). Or a multiple
row radial 2 stroke (perhaps made from junked dirt bike
engines…). Or even a modern radial/rotary (aka, like
a radial, but the old style where the cylinders actually
rotate about a fixed crankshaft).
But I digress.

my copy of To Defy The
Laws of Tradition arrived today.
It’s pretty cool. Nice box set, numbered and signed by
the photographer and Les Claypool. Coffeetable size with
fully color glossy pages. More pictures of primus than
anyone really needs ;->
I must be living in a cave.
I hadn’t realized a version of the source code ran on

I predict a new genre of electronica, ambient glitch lofi video
arcade ambient. Or maybe just “Mame-core”.
So, apprently the Tommy Gun cd release party show
at The Garage, is going to feature Robbie Rist.
Aka, cousin oliver from The Brady Bunch.
Weird.
If your in winston that night, I suggest you go. Tommy gun are cool. So are
“cars will fly” (aka, scott and marty from japan air, brian from the finks, and more!).
