“Assume a giant crane…”

Bought another book about mazes over the weekend. Not a book of mazes, but
about large scale mazes (hedge and earth work mazes and the like…)

Now ignoring the fact that I haven’t actually tried to solve a maze
in years, I’ve started thinking about ways to create large scale
mazes.

Some ideas:

1. organize several groups to acquire permits to shutdown streets
in an urban area on the same weekend. With a careful selection of
streets, it should be possible to turn downtown into a huge maze. Not
that it isn’t very close already.

2. Acquire a large skyscraper with lots of floors and elevators. Reprogram
the elevators so that there is only one combo of taking elevators from floor
to floor that can get you from the bottom to top. A 3d maze.

3. Rearrange a cube farm. Kind of boring, and not very large scale.

4. Giant earthworks. Perhaps a more destructive version of
gps drawing.
Reminds me of this weeks favorite quote from a meeting: “Assume
a giant crane…”.

Any other ideas?
